During the development of the Amman Design Week brand, the word Amman in the logo has been abstracted by the designers of eyen into the basic forms of each letter. This abstraction was then given out as a canvas for several other designers to re-imagine how the word Amman could be best represented.

In extension to the logo democratization project, the four designers who took part in creating the main logo variations have collaborated with JoBedu to come up with new t-shirt and poster designs exclusively for Amman Design Week. Each given one of the four shapes and a color combination, the designers were asked to use them as a playground for imagination and exploration.

Diala Hamdallah, the designer behind the main rendition of the logo, creates an infographic that incorporates the map of Jordan with all governorates of the kingdom; the size of each title corresponding to the population in that area.

With the Arabic for “I am Ammani from Amman”, Hussein Alazaat’s red design affirms the sense of belonging to the city of Amman.

Lutfi Zayed’s imaginative and playful illustrations are transferred from his exhibited piece, Loop Whole, into a design that everyone can own.

The yellow design by Dina Fawakhiri mixes the pattern of the Jordanian 'shmagh' with a flock of birds that signify liberty. This design provides an analogy of the new heights reached through the process of design.

These t-shirts and posters are courtesy of JoBedu, who are adamant design advocates in Jordan, have transformed the designs into such media as a generous collaboration with Amman Design Week.
